Our Feastocrat for Beltane is HL Tadhg who is also holding his vigil for the Order of the Laurel following the feast. The menu that has been chosen is a combination of Roman and Italian fare, and is delicious! He has been kind enough to let some of us try a few of the items and they are great so everyone that can join together for the feast will not only get plenty to eat but they will be getting sumptuous food! Course 1 (Roman): Salad – Bread – Butters
Course 2 (Roman): Boiled Ham – Marinated Beef in Sauce- Figs and Leeks – Roasted Carrots – Chilled Peas Vinaigrette– Marinated Mushrooms
Course 3 (Italian): Pork Pies – Cheese Ravioli – Broccoli – Armored Turnips
Course 4 (Italian): White Tortes – Wind-filled FrittersPrior to Feast we are going to have a Table Decorating Contest and we have dual themes: Spring Time and Venice. Participants will be allowed in to the Feast Hall starting at 5:00 PM and tables need to be finished by 5:30 PM. Shortly after 5:30 PM Lady Caterina (who will be our newest Baroness at that time) will come in and view the tables and select a winner. The winning table will be announced during Feast and will receive prizes. So let your imaginations run wild, have fun, and decorate away! |
